Rick is
unique in the jewelry industry. His passion for precious gems and
metal sculpturing can be traced back to his earliest years in Carlisle,
Ohio. As a student, he received a National Scholastic Art Award and
(6) State Scholarship Art Awards as well.
Rick attended
Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. While an undergraduate, he
broadened his understanding of the fine arts. During his studies at
Miami, Rick began a 10 year apprenticeship, and was privileged to be able
to study under five master jewelers.
During his 10
year apprenticeship, a time frame unheard of today, Rick learned techniques
in design, assembly, setting, repairing and finishing from the masters.
Many of the techniques that he employs today have almost become lost to the
jewelry making craft.
Rick has
found that there are no short cuts in the creation of one-of-a-kind
pieces. His understanding of fit, form and design is superb. This is
why his creations stand out as unique and distinctive.
With almost a
half century of experience in the jewelry industry, Rick has created custom
design pieces for numerous extremely satisfied customers.
You can View
the items that I have made there as well as other items that I
make. I will be adding items to the site every week.
I have stopped
all auctions at eBay due to their fees being excessive. This just
simply cost you the customer more than it should.
My website
has information about
various gems and jewelry tips. The Custom Jewelry area is for one-of-a-kind
items. It attempts to shows off my artistic precious metal items,
which I have created. Some of these items are for sale.
Please be
patient, due to the site being an ongoing construction project. I
figure the site will never really be completed, due to the number of items
I make, which grows constantly.
Thank you for taking your
time and checking me out.
